What a crazy few weeks it has been for me. The things that have occurred in my life lately are just unreal. I'll set it in motion in reverse for you so you can see what I mean.
On my way to work today, I was less than a block away from my job sitting at a stop light waiting for it to change, when i fely a nudge from behind. I was driving my wife's car. Turns out, the lady in the truck behind me nudged the bumper. What? She said her foot slipped and offered many appologies and asked if i was ok.. Since there was no damage and it was very low impact, I let it go. On Saturday on my way to work in my car, I hear what seemed to be a pop. I assumed that something was falling off my car considering it's current condition. When I got to work, I noticed that my tire was going flat. Wow! Ok I'll just get some fix-a- flat and patch that bad boy till I can replace the tire. Well, upon later inspection the tire was blown completely and was separating from the tread. Plus, there was a hole in the side of it. That must have been the pop I heard. Unbelievable! The Sunday thru Wedsnday prior, I got to get away to Lake Placid, Fl. I had a dope opportunity to speak at a camp for 3rd-5th graders. It was just what i needed to break all the drama going on! The 4 days were very relaxing, and I got to see God do some incredible stuff! On the last day of camp 6 kids were baptized! I'm sooo thankful I got to be a small part of that. The weekend prior to this, after a long trying week, I get into my car after a long day and there is no power! Nada! It won't start I can't jump it, nothing so I have to call to get my wife to come and get me. This is just wild! With a wedding to go to that Saturday, I had to be up early to come to my job and figure out what was wrong with my ride! With some help from my father-in-law, we found it. it was a fuse under the hood. We replaced it and all was well. I was on my way home and we made it to the wedding on time! The previous week on Tuesday, I was on my way west to a rehearsal for a concert we had at PBAU later that night, while I was at a stop light, I was rear ended by a Ford F150. They didn't even hit the brakes! After figuring out what had just happened, I got out of my car, walked around the back and found my car toatally smashed up! The dudes that hit me spoke little english, but asked me not to call the cops, that we could settle it! I politely said Nope! After I took down their tag info and the company info on the truck we pulled out of traffic. Then they bounced!! They sent their boss back who then proceeded to take the wrap for his employees. He said he was driving and all that! Unbelieveable! With my statement given to the officer I headed off to my reahearsal, thankful I was ok, but upset my car was not! Later that night when we finally got to the show, I got to forget about everthing for a few hours.
Well, now your up to speed. Life is all up around my neck right now but thank God I have Jesus! As we speak I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to get my tire fixed. Oh, I finally got an estimate on how much it will be to fix my car.... $3,200! More than my car is worth by blue book standard! I'm good tho. God has still got me, and I will still trust him no matter what comes my way. I may not like it, but like Pastor Bob said in church yesterday, what good is complaining gonna do.
